Mothercare started as a private nursery school at the proprietor’s family premises in Bunamwaya, Wakiso district in 1992. The school started with three children in the reception class. Although the original plan was to concentrate on a nursery school, demand from the existing parents in the school and community for more classes led to the addition of a pre-primary class and eventually into a full primary section up to P.7.
